Dogs Of Karma

Formed in the December of 2007 by members John and Dave, the Dogs of Karma have a sound that combines the Earthy elements of the blues, the high energy of classic rock-and-roll and the concentrated aggression of modern metal. The quartet made it’s performing debut in the summer of 2008 with three back-to-back-to-back wins at the Monster Energy Battle of the Bands at Traxx in Ronkonkoma, NY, and the snowball has been building ever since. DOK brings a fresh, original sound to the metal scene.

Dogs Of Karma

There is clear evidence of their major influences, which include Pantera, Black Sabbath, early Sepultura and Iron Maiden. But the Dogs diverge from the sounds of their peers who have similar influences by incorporating ingredients of blues artists like Blind Willie Johnson, Skip James and the “Chessmasters”. The so-called stoner-rock genre has also been inspirational to the Dogs; the influence of bands like Clutch and Down can be heard in many of DOK’s tunes. The Dogs of Karma are based out of Patchogue, New York and have extensive performing experience throughout Long Island. The four members have individually played music in various projects throughout the east coast. The experience gained in each member’s history has coalesced to create the definitive and unique sound they now put forth to their listeners. With a 6-song EP completed, and their 17 track full-length on the way. Dogs of Karma are primed to play everywhere and as often as they can.
